The Kourtney Kardashian x PLT Edit

December 27, 2017Style

Picture this. The one hour countdown is on before we are meant to be out the front door (and on our way to party the night away) and I can be found lying under a heap of clothing on the bedroom floor weeping into a half and half tumbler of gin and tonic. About 4 different dresses have been recklessly pulled from the wardrobe, a crop top hangs from my curtain rail as it was thrown over the shoulder in a mix of rage and frustration and and lets not even get started on the 10 pairs of shoes scattered across the bathroom floor. Decisions on what to wear are never easy.

Putting on an outfit is the easy part, liking the outfit and feeling fabulous in it is another thing. Plus in my older years the concept of comfortability has taken on a whole new meaning. No longer am I concerned with whether my legs are out or if my heels are high enough. Now it’s all about comfort, is this material agreeable to wear and am I going to feel confident in this dress. As a girl who is so utterly and completely indecisive when it comes to choosing my evening style I need those staple items in my wardrobe that l can rely on to make me feel comfortable and confident.

When it comes to finding those staple items I think it’s vital to reach for inspiration from the people whose style tends to influence you the most. For years now I have followed the Kardashian family and will readily admit that I do love a good Sunday nestled on the sofa watching episode after episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashian’s. The girls all have very different tastes in style to one another and for me Kourtney is the one I can relate to the most. Her fashion sense totally resonates with me as I love how laid back yet effortlessly edgy she always looks. Kourtney Kardashian is firmly in my selection of people I love to draw inspiration from.

Therefore when Pretty Little Thing announced they would be releasing a clothing range with said style diva I knew that in this collection would lie some fabulous little staple items for my eveningwear wardrobe, and girls I was not wrong.  Though the collection was filled with many a glamourous item the one that caught my eye had to be this Velvet Cowl Neck Dress. I am just an absolute sucker for velvet pieces especially when they have stunning floral detailing like this. And with NYE being set right in the heart of the coldest seasons of the year Kourtney’s range also had us prepared to stay snug as little bug whilst partying the night away thanks to her Faux Fur range of jackets.

I am pretty damn sure I have never felt this glam in my life and I think having items like this in our wardrobes which make us feel confident and dazzling is very very important. I think it’s safe to say that this NYE I will be saving myself a lot of time getting ready as I already have the perfect outfit in mind…

What’s something random you’re looking forward to doing once lockdown ends? {ps...this @zara knit is my favourite go-to wear at home jumper at the moment it’s 10/10 soft & cosy) #nastygalsdoitbetter #zaradaily

A little pamper sesh is one of my favourite methods of self care and I have recently included using the Bondi Boost Miracle Hair Mask as one of my steps. It leaves my hair feeling deeply conditioned and moisturised with the most gorgeous refreshing scent. Plus it's cruelty free and 100% vegan. Available to shop in the UK either through their online site or at @bootsuk #BondiBoost #BoostYourRoots {paid partnership}

A very belated Happy New Year lovelies! After the A very belated Happy New Year lovelies! After the Christmas restrictions came into place followed by a national lockdown I wanted to take some time to think about how I could return to IG and make my content more constructive during these tough times.

Since Lockdown 3.0 began Ollie and I have started to take an earphone each, a coffee in a reusable cup and listen to the podcast ‘An Oral History of The Office’ on our daily walks so today’s little tidbit is for all my fellow The Office (US) fans! Hosted by Brian Baumgartner (our boy Kevin Malone) the Podcast takes you through the trails & tribulations the show faced trying to make it off the ground to how it became the much loved comedy it’s known as today. The production quality is *chefs kiss* and involves the whole cast including Steve yay. So a 10 outta 10 listen and a great way to entertain yourself either on a daily walk or from the safety of your own homes ☺️ #stayhomesavelives
