Happy Monday folks.
The weather has turned into a miserable scrooge recently hasn’t it! Gone are those days of leaving the house without a coat (she say’s as she presses live on a post where she’s not wearing a coat). It’s pretty much true though, it’s been raining here in Suffolk now for nearly 5 days on the trot and all visions of the summer we just had have quickly evaporated from my mind.
Today’s weekly fashion focus post is looking at the rather desirable trend of leather look pants. Or trousers as we say in the UK – I think watching too much American TV in my late teens (The OC & Gossip Girl forever) has truly worn off on me. I’ve seen a big influx of leather imitation trews sweeping the fashion industry as we enter into A/W19 and let me tell you, I am 100% here for it.
Say goodbye to the *a bit too tight* American Apparel disco pant trend circa 2010 and say hello to soft structured trousers in various Autumnal shades. From H&M to Zara, I’ve seen an array of lust worthy slacks which include creamy beige hues to tan brown tones. I will include at the end of this post a selection of my favourites out there!
One of my favourite things about the leather imitation trouser is how easily it can become a part of your wardrobe as it’s not a completely ~out there~ trend. Paired with a nice thick oversized jumper it can look smart yet casual which is a format most people like to aspire to in their wardrobe. Plus it can be dressed up easily for a night on the town with the girls or an evening out for dinner. Whatever the occasion, this trend can be styled to suit it.
